Oh thanks! I have a set of curve matched Semisouth parts which I don't want to smoke by accident. Also have a stash of Fairchild parts. Interestingly, the production F6 uses IR parts, I think?
If using the SS, I would suggest no degeneration on the bottom device and minimal on the top. I would also use the zenpot to adjust harmonics
Right! I think the original manual talked about playing with the distortion using Rs's in the gain devices. But, otherwise they weren't used...
no degeneration on the bottom and minimial(.05R) on the top, wictn zen pot across that .05, will yeild the most enjoyable results, IMO. If fets are matched, it will give it a negative phase harmonic structure that tends to throw a deep soundstage or gives the impression of looking into the recording. The more space behind the speakers, the better. Adjustment is about determining how deep you want this image thrown and front to back placment of instruemnts and players in that stage.

Great Marra,
Did you fire it up yet ?

I have but only listened through the stunt speakers so can't really comment about sound quality.Should be auditioned in the main system in the next few days but a painful back precludes me from carrying the 50lb/22kg beast down the stairs🙁
sory to hear that Marra
I got a weak back too, I know what it is to lift a 60 lbs amp... the bad way 😛
take care

I spent a pleasant few hours listening to some vinyl through the F6 and my PMC's.😀😀
Nelson has done it again

Is the value of C1/2 set in stone at 1000uf?
No. As usual, it's just a part I have lots of. 100 is too small. 10,000 too big.
😎
Can't wait to build two of the mosfets F6! Going to put a couple in "Thank You" cards to friend! 😀
6L6,
While I still plan on building P2P, will the CineMag fit the PCBoard? I may switch over to PCB when available. Finally got hold of David today, so I'm ordering the CineMag.

I believe Cinemag pinout is different from Jensen is different from Lundahl is different from Onetics. Tea Bag had adapters for his board. I would go with transformer you like and use short wire from transformer to board holes.
