The thing is - it is expensive gear and the parts are expensive too.
But then I was trained to solder to NASA spec's and repairing PWB's to those standards is hard to do.
These guys sell some of the circuit repair kits - but with out the training and right gear getting good results is a real shot in the dark

For low power circuits using the small wire that comes with wire wrap kits works well - we used it all the time for repairs and circuit changes.

Can you post a photo of the damaged trace?
Is there a reason that you don't want to use wire or desoldering braid?

im repairing a memphis 1000d power supply driver card and the spot where the two drivers are have burned that whole spot the traces and the board.
