The best free program for modeling boxes for fullrange drivers and more?

Good afternoon everyone. I sold or gave away all of my programs but, bass box pro. Am looking to make a slot vented box for a pair of Mark Audio drivers I’m very fond of. The CHN-50s. I believe they are the best fullrange driver out there for the money hands down. So what program can I use to get the best results? Sorry if this has been asked before? Jeff

They fit nicely in any A5.2/3 boxes. µMar-Ken5. FH-Lite. Giraffe.

I expect most software to use the same equations, comes down to UI. I paid for MacSpeakerz in 1999 and keep an old G5 around just to run it.

Two of the most comprehensive programs are Vituix CAD and Akabak. Both have quite a learning curve but very powerful and flexible. There are great threads in how to use them in DIYA. I use Akabak and it took me a weak months of use to become familiar. A bass reflex model is literally 5 lines of script code plus TS parameters.

Hornresp has the ability to construct almost any type of speakers. The program is still being developed and now it is possible to make several types of bass speakers.
You can add different amounts of attenuation to the box and see how they affect the frequency curve. Very useful when fine-tuning the box.
It has been shown to work in practice as well. 😊

I had a CHN-50 (OM-MF5) in a small double bass reflex (HB-08F) and it was very good.
In Japan, an evolutionary model of the CHN-50 is available.

Thanks again. I'm relatively new here, so I keep finding more interesting designs of your hyper bass range.

Is there a post where you have put them all together?

I guess now I go for the HB-08 unless you surprise me with an even better option 😉

The calculation formulas in the video are a very useful bonus indeed 👍
