I feel sure that Hi-Fi-Fo-Fum is 1957-1963. Several of those shots could not be modern recreations. Also nobody shoots for that texture of film today, even when 'shooting historic'. (And it is film NOT video.)

Camera dolly and tracks, multi-camera cuts, and post-dub audio have been SOP in the talking film industry since the 1930s. Some of this does seem a bit over-the-top technically for the BBC's dry humour; but the director can indulge himself.
