I have been a bit busy at work since a recent promotion, so I have not done much hobby work, but things are settling down and I will return to it.
This would be a great Christmas present to your loyal following, Russ & Brian! 😀
I finally have to 're-do' my computer interface and it would be super to be able to stick with Twisted Pear components driving the Buffalo...

The same here... Waiting for the new interface instead my waveIO, for a full TPA! Do you already know what kind of PSU will be needed? 5V surely? With a Placid or a new dedicated one? Thanks
I have MacOSX 10.9 and an HiFace1 so at this moment no Integer Mode and no audio ( their osx driver doesn't work under Mavericks).
What a perfect moment to change usb converter

I am waiting also 🙂 - I hope to connect my 16bit arcam delta box i nos mode with lampizator stage via usb - i think results could be interesting
It seems as if the TP solution will use the same ufl connection. You could upgrade (I assume) to Russ' later without much hassle.
Yes very easy, just find the right cables for the i2s signal.
I've ordered the "XMOS 384kHz high-quality USB to I2S PCB with ultralow noise 6.5uV regulator - DIYINHK" with a Placid HD for the +5V and a supra USB cable... I'll see later if the new TPA USB solution give a real improvement, I hope so 😉

Can I build combo DAC and preamplifier with new usb receiver 8 channels and buffalo 8 channels module?
I think Russ is moving towards the idea of direct i2s output from a Beagle Board Black instead of USB-based solution.
