Thanks Hugo,Netlist said:Wouldn’t this be a nice place to celebrate some specials?
1K posts, 1-year member, 50 years of marriage, 10th baby, 20th amplifier, 10th speaker blown…?
Soon we will bake a cake for Roddyama's 1K post.

The thought is appreciated.
Not meaning to complain or anything, but I've always been a
bit puzzled about these congratulations for 1000th post etc.
Personally I rather find it a bit embarassing when I find my
posting ratio have been quite high for more than, say a few
days. It probably just means my S/N ratio has been bad.
Now, don't let this personal opinion take the joy out it for
those who do want their 1000th post etc. celebrated.
As for 10th speaker blown, I have to blow 9 more, but that
should not need to take very long if I wanted to go for it.

Of course S/N should be high and I think you can’t complain about yours. This thread is actually nothing more than one of my personal attempts to tighten the community.

I am not so sure about that myself (referring to the second
part of the sentence), but thanks for the nice words in this
respect.

Don't worry, I understand this. This thread just seemed an
appropriate one to post this reflection I've had for very long.
I have said it before and I say it again. I wish we had a hundred
more Hugos on the forum. You do a wonderful job of trying
to be nice to everybody, cheering people up and, of course,
helping them with finding equivalent transistors, for instance.
BTW, I love those small comments you usually make in you posts,
like "Hugo, gone shopping", "Hugo, searching the databooks".
It gives a warm personal touch to your posts.
Hi,
Consultancy? 2010 is both too far and yet too close for comfort Giacomo.
Congrats to Peter Daniel for his quintuple enlightenment...
Now I know why I got locked up for a week...
Just kidding, we're all having a great time on the forum and I'm glad to see it's getting less jumpy.
Cheers,
Looking at the Top Ten lists seems to indicate that I need to get a job too................

Don't think that was necessary in his case. They probably just
locked him up with only an SS amp to listen to. That should
be enough to scare him off from the bin in the future.
Hi,
On a strict diet of solder fumes and water....
Keep'em coming.LOL.
Cheers,
How Frank spent his time in the sin bin.......

It's all down to the Muzac we play in there, 24 hour continous renditions of popular light pop melodies played on pan pipes and kazoo
