The Aleph-X

If you are talking about chassis' below, they are truly awsome and nice size too (and looking like Madrigal amps). Each is done from 4 sinks I bought years ago at Active Surplus for $10 ea. The heat sinks in front are from R-Theta (in Mississauga), which I also bought years ago, but still available at around $100 ea.
Those chassis' are different from my Aleph 5s which were smaller and in gold. By "the best SS amp out there" I was refering to my previous statement about p2p wired Aleph X from Grey and based on commercial product from Pass Labs.
I figured that since I had so many heat sinks around I might do something useful out of them.😉

ReL R-theta

Do you have the contact info?

hat are the dimensions of those heat sinks in front, they look to be 12" squares that should be about 11.5 pounds each. My guess is a thermal coeffecient of .65, are those fins on .5" spacings? They look to be about 2.33" long, correct.

Droooll

They look very similar to Aavid part # 65525 in shape, the Aavid part is $80 per foot, but I need to buy 16 feet minimum.

Hold off on that purchase 'cuz I just scored (8) 12.125x10.375 heat sinks. They weigh 8.5 lbs. a piece have 32 ridged fins on a 0.375" base and are polished thermalloy. He thinks he has a steady supply for $25 each delivered so I will keep the board posted when I receive the eight coming to me. I like this size because the only finish work required is drilling.

posting pcb artwork

Hi,

I've reworked the pcb artwork submitted previously by "tvi". The problem is, I don't know how to attach an image to this forum. For now it's sitting on my Macintosh desktop. My version could use some extra eyes for proofing. The pcb art follows the Aleph concept of placing off board resistors with off board power transistors. The pcb should be flexible enough to accomodate many power output requirements.

Any suggestion are welcome.

Eric,
I've tried uploading a 50K file from my hard drive before ... just like the way you said it ... did not work. I know it's supposed to be something very simple to do but .... John, if it work for you, please let me know how you do it.
