Good day everyone in analog forums. I just returned from loosing internet connection and had lost my password for diyaudio as well as associated email address. So, since I've returned and am not so new (only in user-name) i skipped the welcome intro and came right in! No more kingfisher... just king55 now. Not as illustrious a return as "Gandulf the White" though...lol
So another major misfortune befell me while under this dark cloud of despair: I damaged my 2M Blue cartridge while mounting from REGA RB220 over to JELCO 370. Wanting to ensure a solid fit, I pinched the little metal clip that attached on to cartridge post at rear, It went in sooo tight that when I inadvertently pressed on the wrong color wire, it needed to be corrected and so pulling the clip free, it pulled the post right out of the cartridge body. 😳 Now there is no left channel... Not to surrender to defeat, I stumbled on an ad. at Hi-Fi Heaven.net where they offered a 2M Blue cartridge (body only) for $59.99! What a coincidence, if there is such a thing! So, I'm back in the saddle again!
