it looks very cool to me! did you get one or try it out?

I'd want to ditch the onboard 'walkman jack' (lol) and at last solder wires to some external rca's.

just the size, though, is pretty cool.

similarly, I'm going to play with the pcm5102 and see how it performs. there are a few 'really simple dacs' out now that require nothing in the way of clocks or multiple psu's or anything. no analog filtering to speak of, no bipolar supplies. seems too easy 😉
 
For $20 bucks it looks pretty good. A few years ago some people would have been pretty proud of those specifications. Not a high end chip by today's standards but I would love to toss something together and give it a listen just for giggles.

OK, so another year has passed;

Here is a finished board on EBay for 30 bucks.
it is a 24 bit DAC what's not to like?
I realize this is barbaric by esoteric standards, but I'm thinking Android Phone (microUSB) to stereo or amp.
