Very fair point, but it is an electrostatic discharge when we consider what we call lightning in nature. That's what I was working with.
If others feel it doesn't fit the theme, I can adjust.
I certainly have no issue with it. It’s definitely static electricity related. Technically you can contest it, but i wasn’t going to take issue with it, nor had anyone else. I just felt like joining in the nitpicking given the other comments here.
A good number of my entries here have also been instrumentals, so I’m sort of curious how this shakes out. I am terrified of Lightning. Been too close to it on occasion. Makes your hair stand on end. We ran to the pavilion at one cricket match. Biggest bang I ever heard in my life when we went rock-climbing. 😱

I don‘t take it too seriously. A pinch of chitchat is part of the game and adds to the entertaining quality of the thread. More so when it is followed by a good tune.
The word "song" has a very specific meaning. You need look no further than its definition in an English dictionary. In addition, it has always been the case in this thread that the person who starts the album theme can set its rules. Therefore if that person specifies "songs" with the intention of excluding instrumentals, then so be it.

But since this is a fine, funny game played by and for us, the entertainment factor should be at firsthand. Sometimes it is contributing to the entertainment to just cheat a little bit. agreed?

FWIW - I thought it was an excellent selection. Thought clearly went into it. That's a key piece of what I enjoy. I like clever fits within the themes/general intention of the album in addition to discovering some great new music.
If it gets too tedious re: rules, then I can just read along. To participate, I like to have some fun with it.

No reason for any apprehension to call that out. I admit it with pride. As a middle-aged person that now hears "OK, boomer" on a weekly basis, I wasn't exposed to very much classical music early in life. I didn't take much time to explore it after university either. I recently purchased a 60 disc set of RCA Living Stereo recordings that a friend recommended. It helps me learn a bit about composers and see what styles I may enjoy. Soon, I may be able to rattle off a few classical titles other than those from movie soundtracks. 😀

Oh well. I like classical music, too. Next to my beloved prog rock/blues tunes. But Andre Rieu? I'd not call him a classical performer, but a polished show star that adresses smart old ladies. Too much prominent in all evening TV shows, *imo*.
