"Let's do the time warp again"

I moved here from Birmingham 12 years ago, and until I came here I'd never seen truly horizontal rain before, the kind of stuff that has an apparent aversion to terre (not so) ferme. I'm about a mile from the estuary of the Afon Dwyryd, facing across the valley and the wind blows straight up from the sea. It's not so bad locally though and can be pretty warm and dry in the summer, not like in the mountains, I've seen the wind in the mountains make an oxymoron out of a waterfall. :D
