Just to verify what (in my understanding) the current not-written rules are.

So far I think I've understood that when a member writes as a theme something just like "Rivers" then the interpretation is that everything is included: song titles, lyrics and artist names.
But, if he specifies "songs and artists" then "lyrics" is automatically excluded.
Otherwise it would have been enough to just write "a color and an animal", like many such examples in previous themes.

Just sayin'... 🙂
That'd be my interpretation of the unwritten rules too.

Well spotted - I hadn’t noticed my ‘Pig and Whistle’ mistake. The theme was deliberately open - I carefully chose ‘songs’, not ‘song titles’, and I agree with Charles on the lyric quotes!

👍

If you post a song where the connection is in the lyrics you should post that part of them too though because not everybody knows every song.
+1

I think it’s the next day, but not sure if that means 24 hours later, or after midnight of the day of the first post.
My interpretation is with respect to the date, because frankly I would find it absurd to go and count the hours and minutes.
Just as an example, if you posted on the 28th of the month then you can post again on the 29th, even if in a certain particular circumstance only a minute has passed.
Only my view.

For me, the fun is in the game, not the rules…😄
Okay, but without rules there's no fun. 😉

I carefully chose ‘songs’, not ‘song titles’
Okay, but you also choose "artists" where the word "name" (so, artists name) is obviously implicit.
Only my interpretation. 🙂

As always, my intention was to get others into thinking why the song might fit, albeit by using a search machine if the particular song isn't known. Quotation of the relevant lyrics part just is far too simple imho.

Could we agree upon UTC as the parameter for the one-a-day rule?

Best regards!
