Being in the UK, it's the Toploader version I'm familiar with. Definitely a different song to Moondance, and as the posting says, never recorded by Van Morrison.

I'm no expert on Van the man, but, at least during his solo career, I don't think he's ever done any covers. Having seen him live once, he gave me the impression he was far too serious to do that sort of thing.

Toploader are still going apparently.
