There are a number of ways to take the guidance for the album. I took it to mean the first single I purchased. I definitely owned and purchased more full 33rpm LPs prior to my first 45rpm 'single'. So, I listed the first 45 I remember buying vs. receiving as a gift.

Another way to look at it may be... buying a song means, to buy the rights and own the song; and buying an album means to buy a physical disc. If that's the case, I don't know too many children that can buy songs. 😉

Me@11yrs old and the album was 10yrs old at that stage... next was Piece of Mind then The Best of Allan Parsons Project

Before that, and for a long time after, I could only afford to buy singles.
