I worked for Freddy once back in the 80s. I was part of the local stage crew (there were two of us) in Berlin for one of his small touring theater productions. A seriously nice and funny guy who helped tearing the set down and loading the truck. I think he simply enjoyed the physical labour.
Also unlike all the other ones I worked on a very good tipper ie 50DM each or half of our wages for the night.

I don't doubt what you're saying about Quinn (Freddy, not the eskimo 😀). Anyway, his music may have been well fitting for my parents' generation with their desire of travelling far, far away, or at least of being distracted after WWII, but was simply cruel to my generation's ears 😉.
Listen to what he has done to Sixteen Tons, for instance 😱!
