Not sure where you got that information, but I'd love to see a cited reference.

The song is not about being unfaithful, but it is about a woman. It is definitely not "about" his mother, but the song is named after his mother, Rose ... not a wine. He states that in as many words in a few of his live shows. The most recent of which, he calls her out while she was in the audience shortly before she passed, and before he had to stop playing due to his ailment. At least that is to the best of my knowledge, which has been shown to be faulty on MANY occasions.

And Crackling Rose has certainly been the name of many wines over the years.


I'm not saying it's definitely fact, but it certainly fits.

I think I have used up my allowance in this thread today. But singing is a huge part of the lovely game, for which I make no apology.

Cracking weekend for goalies. Casper Schmeichel performed miracles for Leicester in teh FA Cup final against Chelsea:
