Dream A Little Dream Of Me was re-recorded by The Mamas And The Papas and was better than many of the previous recordings of the song. Or, if not better, it still became the standard of that song years after the others had been recorded. Many believe it was a Mamas & Papas original but it was not.

It fit the category.
