I recently bought a Sharp QA-1650 on line, when it arrived I was sure it wasn't working, didn't have the correct power adapter, or remote! That's when I stumbled upon this forum. I took your advice and searched the previous posts before posting my own, and wouldn't you know I found all the answers I was looking for! I'd really like to thank Uvodee for posting a pic of a jerry-rigged power supply. I made one and it works perfect! I'd also like to thank nmweiler and others for letting me know how to navigate around my panel without the remote! Soon I'll have the most bad *** projection tv on th block for under $200! I'll post pics when it's done!

Hey magic good deal glad to hear your in buisness where did you see the How to make a Power adapter for your panel? did you use a at power supply? if so what leads did you use, I have a Unrelated Item( subwoofer) that takes 12v but 4a( ie so Im thinking of using a at power supply) thanks and yea post pics when you get em.

hey ace thanks yea But is the black just used as the negative on the plug? its a 12v center pos, so I would just use yellow inside and black outside?

yep thats the go, becareful though cos comp psu's put out a negative 12v too and the negative 12v should be matched to the positive 12v, the best way is to get the molex and the black wire next to the yellow one will be -12v that will be your negative, the yellow wire will be your +12v so if your using the plug u state that has the center pin and the positive must go to the center pin then the yellow wire goes to the middile pin and the black wire goes to the ground or outer case of the plug, abit hard to explain but i know what u got lol. if this is going to be a pernament setup id just desolder the socket for the plug on the sub amp and all of the wires from the psu and just have 2 wire's from the psu 1 being the positive 12v and the other being the negative 12v, that way its hard wired, normally on most comp psu's they have the voltage written on the psu's pcb but try and take a pic of it or try to make a drawing just incase u forget.

Ace well et me rephrase the input on the panel is center pin pos the plug that would go in would be inside pos outside Neg, so I would use the +12 on the Inside part( check with voltemter) and the Black as the negative? What Im asking is when you look at a regular power supply from say radio shack its says 12vcenter pos so what exactly is the outside, Negative I would suspect correct? so if so does that mean I need only the +12 and -12? thanks
