@weltersys I was pretty surprised too, may be the drivers i'm using idk but I'm happy with it. Now I need some efficient Mid-top design for my 10s, I've been looking at some paraflex designs but not sure as yet
The cabinet design determines the Fb, the drivers can either work well at that Fb, or not.
Here's a vid of my sound playing, Pure Passion Sound System, I did a primary school pageant, man these cubos are something else. The whole place was shaking, stuff was even falling from the roof. Can't wait to build 2 more and then put some real power into em.

Rick,
You mean the tham15's right? Not the "cubo" cabinets.
Ohh I just scrolled back, so you end up with the cubo 15's
How do you braced them so they can take high power.

I placed two strips off wood on the back panel cut in a triangular shape, at the top I also put two strips of wood in a cross to brace the top with a single piece in the center angle from the top to the inner "horn" panel, yes it takes up a bit more volume but the box is as sturdy as it can get, I send about 700 watts into each cabinet....I've sent 1000 watts into one already and it held up so I'm confident when I upgrade to higher power subs and amps the cabinets will more than hold up.
Thanks for all your help and feedback tho guys, its been really helpful, what really makes me happy is going to a gig and people are just confused as to how so much bass is coming from two little boxes, puts a smile on my face every time haha
Speaking of cabinet finishing, and I guess this was discussed already but can't find the info
In the USA
Where you can source the round perforated metal grilles , black powder coated preferred , so your cabinet will have a "pro" finish.
Qsc KS118 , Yorkville LS1208, RCF 8004
To name some finished cabs.
RCF 8004 have a frame screwed on top of the grill to hold it. And I guess a gasket strip is out before the grill then the metal frame screw on top of the grill.
I found the same scheme on the Yorkville LS608's
But there was only 2 strips of metal on the sides holding the grill. No rattle at high volume cause the ruberish kind of strip that goes on the wood before the metal.
And I think the list goes on and on , so where to get "the metal"
I don't really like what some people did installing BBQ style grills 😵💫😆
Ohh and look what a cuboteer guy did
(Stick some JBL badges in to his 😎)

i found some on amazon 24" by 24" , since the mouth of the cabinet is around 19" by 20" that sheet will fit with some trimming
what gauge # will get closer to the commercial cabinets so to protect the driver inside
there are
what gauge # will get closer to the commercial cabinets so to protect the driver inside
there are
0.036" Thickness, 20 Gauge
0.06" Thickness, 16 Gauge
0.12" Thickness, 11 Gauge
0.12 thickness will protect the speakers from hard hits while still enough to flex a little under pressure without breaking, the other two are way too thin
i guess i will use 16 as 14 is not available.11 gauge is over the top.
JBL uses 16 gauge grille on many of their 15" cabinets, 14 gauge on 18" cabinets.
what paint will stick best to the metal
matte black is preferred right ?
