TermPro software.. can it design 4th order with speaker placement, ports, and cut sheets?

So.. looks like Term Pro is probably the best "all around" software for designing a sub. Looks pretty solid.

The enclosure design tab shows the ability to place speakers, ports, etc (a new version as of June 2022).. but what's not clear is if it works with all types of subs. If I choose a 4th order or 6th order band pass box.. and a port of wood (trap? not the tube/flange ones).. can it allow me to place the port per the length needed in the wood design so that the cut sheet generates all the parts I need including the wood cuts for the internal port?

All the demos show only a simple bass reflex with cylinder port. Doesn't show what it would look like for a port that is the size of the box made of wood and folded inside a bit.

Can it do those?

What's the OS got to do with the software capabilities? Are you saying you are only Mac or Linux?
Now.. don't get me wrong.. if I were to build a software package today I'd do whatever I could to make it run on all 3 major platforms. But.. that said.. if the best software package is only available on one platform... I could live with running that platform if it's making me money, saving me time, etc.

Plus.. I am willing to bet a lot more users here use Windows over Mac or Linux. Lastly.. though I much prefer Linux.. Windows is quite decent these days. And.. it doesn't lock you in to the worse ecosystem ever.. Apple. While I do like their hardware.. can't stand their lock in to their apple only mentality. Who wants that? Rather have more open capable options than stuck with one thing only.

If i cannot run it on my Mac it is useless to me.

A subwoofer is fairly easy to design, there are some tricks that make a big difference.

i would take anything it spits out with a grain of salt. If it suggests cut plans, does it get the bracing right?

Personally i prefer 2nd order subwoofers (you should have at least 2) and EQ will help with problematic rooms.

I would not go higher than 4th order (and if a sub a HP filter to keep them out of trouble).

That is ceratinly true, but Windoz market share has been continually decreasing, and the most popular OS, as if it was important) is iOS in NA and Android most of the rest of the world. despite huge improvements Windoz (IMO) is still third rate.

But we ar etalking about the software. Its problems & strenghts.

Another nit: it sounds like it might not be possible to add your own drivers to the driver database. The software i use came with hundreds of drivers. I have not use dany og them over th last 30-some years.
