Tempered Glass Help!!!

I need help on reducing heat in my pj design. I've seach in this forum, some say that tempered glass does nothing, some say that tempered glass could reduce most of the heat, which is true?

I've just purchased a piece of tempered glass for my pj, just want to know if it is good enough to prevent my LCD from dmaging (of course I will have UV filter and fan also).

it sounds like you are going to want an ir filter.

and make sure u can flush heat out also

So just a piece of tempered glass is not gonna cut it?
And I was gonna start building it today.

well if you have a good cooling system you can get away with not having ir glass. if you have a small lcd then you usually need some ir glass. the bigger lcds tend not to heat up as quick.

but just look at some other projectors and how they are built. some peopple use ir glass and some dont.

Thanks part2, I have a pretty big lcd, like 15" X 9". I will see how hot it gets and then decide.

Sorry, one more question, what is the heat tolerance of an LCD?
