Looking for some data on the Telefunken RGN2504 rectifier and its equivalents:

Valvo G2504
Philips 1815
Klangfilm KL76303

The datasheets available for these tubes do not quote the Isurge / Ipeak values.

Philips 1815: https://frank.pocnet.net/sheets/170/1/1815.pdf

Table of specs for various 4V rectifiers: https://frank.pocnet.net/short/054/0/027.pdf

The only information I have been able to find is a Spice model on Duncan Amps added by "The Engineer" which rates the RGN2504 at 1.5A surge and 530mA peak, but I have no way of verifying if those values are accurate.

Has anyone come across this information? Much appreciated.

I've rarely seen any rectifier tube datasheet that shows peak current limits. Instead, a maximum filter capacitance and a minimum transformer DC resistance is given for C input filters.
The only diodes I know of given Ipeak values are booster/ballast diodes from TV service.
Best regards!

Really? I have come across it often in rectifier datasheets, at least the peak steady-state current. But I think you are right Kay, for these very old rectifiers a minimum transformer DC resistance and maximum input capacitance are more common to see.

Oh well, I guess I will continue to wonder. Thank you for being helpful :)
