Hi all,

I have this scope, and it is radiating EMI (44 kHz) noise every time, every where.

Livingstone (Tech Service for Tek in Spain) says that it is normal...:redhot:

Noisy is coming from a switched psu into scope.

regards,

luis.

are you sure it's the scope ?

i have my suspicion you may be correct -- but you can take steps to remedy the problem if it is the scope -- consider routing the power line to the scope away from the DUT, make sure that you have a good system ground.

fwiw, the "quietest" scope I have is a TEK 5110 --

Tech Service was capable of finding same noise in various TDS2000 series that was suitable in their shop... and this is why they says "... it is normal noise in these series of scopes..."

amazing !!
