3M's Mincom division made a number of instruments for supporting their Instrumentation recorders as well and the pro audio recorders. I would bet the box you have looks at 2nd and third harmonic distortion. They also made very sophisticated flutter analysers. I may have the distortion analyzer in my storage. I can dig it out if it would help. I checked and I don't have a manual.
