I just got this on my display and can't seem to get rid of it. Any ideas?

I have found an user manual also:
Tektronix 2230 Oscilloscope User Manual -- Download Manuals for Free
I have all the two documents fanned, but at first glance I could not find a solution. It does not mean anything. I'm a big fan of Tektronix equipments.
I have repaired some of Tek scopes, despite my lack of knowledge in electronics and english. But I don't have a clue in this case.
I recommend to you TekScopes at Yahoo.
Maybe Tom Gootee can help you here.

Perhaps it would be interesting how got to this state the scope?
You switch it on, and you got this screen?
To me this seems like a calibration screen.
I emphasize, I do not understand this, I have not seen yet a 2230 at all.

Thanks for you effort. I looks like the /advandced functions/diagnostics/Cal screen without the menu writing on top. It seemed to have just popped up while I was adjusting it.
I think it might be some kind of fault because it's there no matter what I do with any of the settings on the scope.
I'll keep working at it. It could be something trivial. I've only had it for a day and it seemed to work fine up to this point.

I have a 2232 which looks similar. Mine goes into one of several different anomalistic modes whenever it feels like it, although I have never seen this one. Usually the scope then reboots and returns to normal, but sometimes I have to turn it off then back on.

I asked one of the tech in our cal lab at work. He said that these scopes all had power supply issues, and they don't repair them any more.....they get scrapped. I knew that, because mine was one of the scrapped units. It has been spontaneously rebooting and acting up ever since I bought it from an auction.....about 10 years ago.

I just ordered one of these:

DS2072A 70 MHz, 2 Channel Digital Oscilloscope | Rigol - Beyond Measure

If a new scope is in the cards...it really PAYS to Google this model and see what you can do with it. You might want to include the word "hack" in your Google search. UPS brings mine on Tuesday.
