Surely, if you wanted to check relay continuity, you would measure any voltage differential across the contacts. Back in #9 you said you measured a 127 mV offset at the speaker terminals. Is this the same for both "in" and "out" contacts on the right channel?

If you have the same offset voltage on either side, regardless of a load or not, you don't have a relay problem to look for.

With IN and OUT contacts on the R channel do you mean RECORD OUT and PLAYBACK that are controlled by the TAPE 1 and TAPE 2 switches?
BTW, I cleaned them (again) with alcohol (the kind that might kill you if ingested...) and pushed the switches in and out for at least a minute...

Methanol? That stuff'll kill you by just being in the same room! I hope you mean isopropyl alcohol.

Do you feel it's mechanically sensitive? Have you tried gently tapping, while listening, the PCB and/or various areas with a non-conductive implement?

If there's no mechanical sensitivity, it might be a coupling cap, or something like that.

If there's Pre/Main jumper bars in the back, when the channel drops, you can touch each of the jumpers and see if you can hear if the signal path is fine from the pre/main jumpers on out, or if the issue is between the pre/main jumpers and the output.
