Technics SU 8600 protect problem.

you go too fast, you look for the handle before looking for the door. and you are not answering my questions.
Don't forget that I am at a distance, I am using YOUR hands to establish the basis of a diagnosis.
Start by checking the power supply, then tell me if you have DC or AC at the speaker output.
do you have a capacitance meter that can test power supply capacities? Or a capacitor pair in the same voltage range to try?

I think I'll stop there.
you shouldn't get into troubleshooting this kind of amp, it takes too much method and you lack experience and discipline.
I have too little time for me, I can help punctually.
I think one of the members with more time than me can help you.
As you seem to buy broken equipment (for fun, for fun or other) try to find yourself one or two simple amps (like sansui AU101, or Proton 520, finally something like that) totally down (both channels), it's a very good school to learn.
Your technics is one of the best documented with a super well done service manual, the breakdown is relatively low, by following a troubleshooting methodology, you should have already found the problem.
