I was tearing apart a SL-23 to veneer and broke one of the tonearm wires inside. It is to short to reach to the terminal strip. I would like to rewire the entire tonearm. I have never done this before so I am looking for advise.
1.) What tonearm wire should I get?
2.) Can I pull the new wire in around the 90 degree turn in the arm. I see where you use the old wire to pull the new wire in.
3.) Can I do this without taking the whole tonearm apart or off the TT.
4.) I was going to replace the RCA cables with some gold plated ones. Any suggestions here?
5.)Any suggestions for a new cartridge also. Currently a very old empire is on it. Someone gave this TT to me.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

KAB has good, super flexible tonearm wire that I used on my Souther tonearms.

I had an SL-23 decades ago that I put an Empire cartridge on, they were pretty decent cartridges for the time. Today an Ortofon, Audio Technica or Nagaoka would be reasonable choices.
I don't remember a whole lot about those tables unfortunately
