technics 1210 pitch problem

hi,

ive got a little problem with my one of my 1210's mk2 ive got the pitch set back to the original speed but the pitch works fine when i go to +3.3 or +6 but the problem is when i go down to -3.3 i slide the fader to -2.0 and the red strobe light is showing -3.3 on the dots.

any ideas?

clean the pitch slider or replace it, then set up the pitch control adjustment and pitch gain adjustment and clock adjustment as per the manual.
for this you will need a multimeter and a frequency counter
