Better torque distribution on the flywheel.
A pulley for each motor on the shaft of the flywheel, with a locking needle bearing for limited slipping, would be a lot nicer.
(needle bearings like that are used in oil pumps of automatic transmissions)
Btw: just flashed to me that this one is listed at the same price level as Clearaudio's 6-legged battleship.

I don't see that? Surely, by their very nature, the synchronous motors produce synchronously pulsed torque?
