I have a VRDS-10. KSS151a laser assembly not available. Is there a way, ANY way, to make this player work again. Even if it meant compromise. How far would I have to go? Is there another transport that would fit, from another model like the SE for instance or anything else that may be available/suitable?
It is imho magnificent just to look at but too big to be a paperweight.

Yes, Just changed one on one of my cd-players. Works well. No audible difference and no noise, and no tracking/focussing problems.
