Hey guys!
To make a DIY car player/amp, which one is better? TDA7388 or TDA7560?
The datasheets show far better specs for TDA7560, but when I tested both, I could hardly notice any differences in sound.
Same Output Power, Same distortion, Same Power Consumption, Same Heat dissipation etc.
The odd part is that, commercial players mostly use 7388! 😱
Does Anyone know Which one is better?
Replies appreciated.

Viper.

7560 is far better, as it can supply more current.
it is a 2 ohm sable chip, unlike the 7388.
i would use a current limited voltage regulated supply, and aim to go close to 17 volts of power rails for the 7560. then it can do a bit more YEEEHA.

Thanks for reply Arty, you're right about the current limitation and impedance stance. but I wonder why no one uses 7560 in their players, although there's not much price difference.😕😕😕
