Is this a good way to invest $60 USD...

The kit is a stereo kit made by 2 parallel TDA7294 per channel.

Is this IC good sounding...I have not heard it yet.

It is a good sounding IC. Jeff Rowland uses them in vast amounts in some of his amplifiers.

60 $ plus a transformer with at least 400 VA, better more plus incredibly big heatsinks plus a case. And you must not use speakers with less than 8 Ohm nominal impedance.

Hi,

I already have lots of power transformer, lots of big heatsink so what I'm missing is a nice case.

Good to know that it's a good sounding IC.
