TDA7294 bridge mode PSU:

I recently bought these TDA7294 modules in bridge mode. I am not sure what rail voltage to use with this.
Please, if someone have done this circuit, and it is working fine - share it, and any thoughts on it would be perfect help.

Thank You in advance.

This TDA can run on +/-50v max

Doesn’t matter what circuit you’ve created around it.

The large reservoir caps are most likely 63v?, which gives them some headroom if running at the max 50v rails

You will need also diode bridge and pair big capacitors ,like 10000uf x 50v ,to be able to use transformer . Also ic may be a fake ,if module is purchased from @express or smth similar ,and it can burn easily then , so use dimm bulb tester , and supply power to v+ v- not directly from capacitors, but through small power resistors like 10 ohms 0,25w , they will burn if something wrong ( only at low volume or no load) .

No way it will stand +/-60V and even 50+50 is not safe.

I wouldn´t even bridge them, go figure.

Use them unbridged, +/-35V and 8n ohm loads so about 60/70W RMS tops and they will last forever.

You want more power?

Fine, but build discrete, some established and well tested amplifier, such as APEX desigs here in this Forum.

In any case, big expense at any power rating is power supply and heatsinking, it makes no sense to use cheap weak chipamps beyond what they can actually handle just to save a couple bucks.

Hint: LM3886 is rated 50/68W tops and is considered a reliable amp; TDA729x is exact same size (2 x TO220 packages side by side) so has exact same power dissipation capability yet is rated 100W and they fail all over the place.

Lesson to be learnt?: do not try to extract more than 60/70W (tops) from one of them and be happy.
