Hi guys and good day everyone, I wanted to tell you this thing that intrigues me a lot, I love the tda 2050 chip, which is no longer produced, I have only two left, old originals, which sound very good, in mine searching to find good ones (even if clones), I came across some chips on aliexpress that are aesthetically identical to the originals, intrigued I take them thinking they were crap, and I was amazed, they sound great, like and almost better than the originals , they also cost very little, like € 0.60 it seems impossible to me or the Chinese have started to do it
of the perfect clones?, I would like your opinion about it, hello and thanks to all.

Hi
at reichelt you will find a UTC TDA2050 and this works fine( max 25V rail). costs about 1 Euro

I have "fake" TDA2050 (ST marked) bought surprisingly cheap. They play well until a certain power level where the current capability collapses and it really sounds strange.
The best I found were called TDA2052. Previously ST also made such. They are not genuine either.
All cheap TDA2050 and LM1875 bought from Asian web-shops are not genuine and most do not survive short-circuiting. They can be used for small experiments but they are not worth using for constructions where you put more investment in.
One exception is UTC-TDA2050 and UTC-LM1875 from the Taiwanese company UTC, Unisonic Technologies. They make both TDA2050 and LM1875 versions that seem to work well. The TDA2050V can be bought for a little more than 1 Euro from Reichelt in Germany. I just notice that Chris was before me with this information. Hi Chris

Try genuine 1875, more or less equal in performance, still made by TI.
Here MW and 3 Triangle branded 2030 are about 20 cents, seem okay for about 20 volts (+/- 10), 1875 same brands same price.
Good quality 2050 clones are about 70 cents.
UTC are not available here, and they seem a license made authorized version.
If you are making new amps with cloned chips, just be cautious, and reduce the supply voltages, for 8R loads set the supply as if you are running 4R loads. That seems to let them work nicely, though yes the output will be lower.
Heat sinks please use too big, with proper coupling to the sinks.

No
MW is the brand mark of Wuxi, a subsidiary of China Resources Holdings. The symbol looks like a M above a W.
3 Triangle is another well known Chinese brand here.
Repair people ask for these by brand, seem to be well regarded here.
But they are clones, and seriously I have not come across any references to testing in any forum...so I can't say about rated power, THD, or whatever.
Anyway, they work okay enough, and are ridiculously low priced compared to 'original' chips, and a lot of those original chips are out of production, so these are the only ones you can use for replacement.
Both are used a lot by makers of amplifiers and kits, and this industry in mainly in the Delhi area in India.
The thing is that the mark tells you that there is some quality assurance system in place, and compared to re marked chips, these are at least more trust worthy... in that somebody says yes we made them, this is our factory, we have ISO or whatever quality systems in place, and we make this product range.
Compared to somebody operating as a trader from a not so trust worthy place, at least.
