I want to build a new dac for my Philips 753. There are two possible solutions:
1. Use CS8414 receiver and CS4397 DAC and connest it to the SPDIF output of CD(I will apply hack for CD to switch it to the 1*fs mode - also it has effect on the SPDIF)
2. Replace TDA1549T with TDA1541A in the CD player. Also I will apply a hack for CD to switch it to the 1*fs I2S mode.
I dont want to use tube output stage for TDA... Please recommend me some output stages for TDA based on OPAmps. Which OPAmp do you prefer for IV conversion and filter stage?
Which solution is better, TDA or CS? Is there a big difference in sound?
