Sorry I forgot to refer to the pic...
that wasone from post 1

I think, based on the font used on the chip top marking that, one from the post 17
not fake...?
*
Some chips marked as TDA1541A are actualy, the TDA1540 inside,
one of members report such as...?

jean-paul said:Zoran, are you referring to post #17 ? That is a genuine TDA1541 S1.
Can you explain what makes you sure it is genuine?
The font? or.......
Andy
EDIT... I should explain my original post.
The Revox B226 (not B226S) used a TDA1541A with the later SAA chip not the TDA1541. The blurb on Ebay expounds the virtues of this chip with the later SAA.
Well, the next lot arrived, dates in the 88 to 92 range, all work ok.
Got a set of R1's as well gratis. Seems a good supplier after all.

Hi.
If you have time, please post a photo so we can look at the markings.

at poynton...
I am not shure 100% that piece from 17post is genuine,
but rather say working one... And that not based on the picture,
we can see it in circuit, but top marking...
*
Please take a look at the font from the 100% original pieces...
and compare every letter, number, serif, and slight detail...
Those one which are different in even slight way or just part
of letter is 100% chance to not working at all and will damage the device if put into,
or test board PS...
*
Example letter A have no straight border lines at original marking, upper part is slight rouded...
Example number 4 too...
number 1 etc
and all marks are serif
sans serif are fakes

Hi,
I was sent a TDA1541A HSH0123 earlier in the year. I tried it in a test rig and it drew far more current than the datasheet spec and didn't produce any output. My conclusion - fake, avoid it !
Cheers,
Jon
