I would have thought that a chip which is less linear - <2LSB rather than <1LSB - would distort more.
So does anyone know the relation between the linearity and the THD figures?

Suddenly I wonder if it's worth tweaking that R1 player... maybe a well modded R1 is better than a baldy supplied A...

TDA1541A-R1 bit 1-16 Edl < 2 LSB means it can be 1.01...
