Well, I am no expert, but if this is a voltage regulator, and it has a current regulator rating bigger than the maximum current consumption of the component, then there is no problem. The component will draw as much current as it needs to.

OK, have solved the problem. The problem was I haven't
connected the digital ground connection pin on the TDA (pin 14)🙂 .
It's quite embarassing, checking all sorts of things and then finding something like that.

P.S. even the sound quality is better now, which is to be expected probably.
