Can anybody attest to the authenticity of the semis from TAYDA ELECTRONIC? I'm looking to get some MOSFETS but want to be sure they aren't fake.
I purchased last week 5 pairs of 5200/1943. But, it may take time for my project to be completed. (Bigun's TGM8 with Single Supply )
I've bought from them and the Renesas lateral MOSFETS appeared to be genuine and work as expected. Others have used them too and I haven't heard anything bad about them.
I purchased a bunch of stuff from them. In particular some TIP35C. I dissolved the case of one with nitric acid abd a hot plate. I'm 100% confident the TIP35C are real. They matched prefect with the insides of the dead one it replaced (I dissolved that one too). You can see the dissolving thread in this forum.
I have bought a lot of semiconductors from them and had no problems. Currently I'm waiting on 2sc1085, 2sj162 and 2sc5200, I am reassured that others have been satisfied with the authenticity of these parts from this source.
I have bought the following from tayda and so far been happy:
TIP 3055 / TIP2955 (ST), TIP41C / TIP42C, TIP31 / TIP32, various jfets ( though I haven't thoroughly tested these yet ), 2n3904 / 2n3906, various opamps, small heatsinks ( my only criticism is that °C / W ratings are not given, so there's a bit of guess work involved ). I can't recommend their resistors as the leads are very thin compared with others. Things like switches seem to be sturdy enough. Prices are very reasonable and shipping to UK is usually no more than 2 weeks, they do have a 2~4 day express delivery option but it costs $18 USD!

Tayda is pretty much the only place I shop for general electronics components. Someone mentioned that the resistors legs were thin... Yes, they are, but they are getting soldered onto a pcb, the thickness of the leads make no difference. You will be hard pressed to find components cheaper than Tayda. They have double powder coated enclosures that are the bomb! Great quality and great price! There are some components that Tayda do not have, generally I can get those items from Small Bear.
I've been a bit disappointed with the build quality of some of their connectors. As for components still pretty pleased with most stuff.
Given the low prices I think they offer pretty good value overall.
