yes, I have done it. Used an EAR 834 MM phono stage. You are right the curves are close, but the RIAA has 3 or 4 time constants the NAB has 2 or the IEC has one. Not too tough, took a few trials with spice then had to tweek some components. If you don't want to go with the real McCoy EAR, the Doukmall EAR clones on ebay also work, you can get these for about 280 to 400 bucks shipped.
