Tannoy Legacy Arden Tweeter

Hello DIY Forum Community,

I'm seeking some guidance on repairing a burned Tannoy Legacy Arden Tweeters. Could anyone tell me the original impedance and inductance specifications for these tweeters?

Additionally, I am considering rewiring the voice coil. What differences in performance or sound should I expect if I use round wire instead of flat wire for this purpose? Also, where can I buy flat wire for this application?

I also have an idea to replace the plastic waveguide with one of the same measurements made from copper. Any suggestions on this modification? Will it give any benefits in reproducing high frequencies?

I appreciate any insights or advice you can provide.

There is an Ebay site called mainlytannoy they have two co aial tweeter types available as far as i can see. Unfortunately the prices probably reflect rarity value?

You could try a message to them?
Alternatively Lockwood audio may have a view on what is available in terms of repair.
Failing that Tannoy should respond to an email query.
Sorry that this isn't a quick fix.

Thank you for your attention and for providing some direction on where to look for solutions.

I have contacted mainlytannoy, but I'm not sure these are the same tweeters due to differences in part numbers. I also reached out to Lockwood Audio, but unfortunately, they can't help either. I contacted one of the UK Tannoy dealers with no response, and the Lithuanian Tannoy dealer forwarded my request to Tannoy two weeks ago — still no answer. Additionally, I haven't been able to find a direct contact for Tannoy.

I appreciate your suggestions and will continue exploring these avenues. If you have any other ideas, I would greatly appreciate them.
