Hi
I am quite a newbie and need some help. I am looking for a crossover schematic to be used with a Tannoy K3149 driver. To my knowledge this driver was used back in the 1980's in the super red monitor spreakers.
Your advice is highly appreciated. Thank you,
Alois

Best Tannoy resources on the web.

http://www.hilberink.nl/speaker.htm
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Tannoy/ (just seen you're already a member.)
If one of these, or writing to Tannoy directly (email seldom gets a response) doesn't solve your problem, you'll have to roll a crossover yourself. Most of the Tannoy crossovers don't vary much, so one for a similar ferrite driver should be close enough for you to refine it from there.

Hi Alois,
I had the same problem when I got the drivers with a cabinet, but without xovers. I got some schematics, but wanted to avoid the step/down/up transformer choke. This is what I made then:

Hello Hifidaddy,
Could you tell me how much the parts for your xover cost and where best to buy them please. Are you pleased with the results?
Many thanks for your trouble.

Can anyone post a schematic for the SRM 15 ?
I assume its simialr to the SRM12 above, but not the same ??

I saw this one , the capacitor values don’t show the voltages and the u8 instead of uf is a bit confusing.
6u8F is the same as 6,8uF
Exact voltage is not really important here, everything above 100V is good.

I have the same idead, i''ve just bought a pair of SRM12x and they're born in 24-09-1980. Some of Capacitor or resistor were old. I''ll replace them firstly
