Tangband W8-1808 replacement

Basically better for less.
Sensitivity is rather good as well.

Actually very good.
Guess sometimes even I forget
how large a equivalent magnet would
be if not neo.

Otherwise doesn't meet the request
of non whizzer. But find it useful regardless
for 2 way. Specially with 1 1/8" metal tweet
going down to 740 Hz resonance.
Making a 2 way very feasible, specially with
steep filters.

Aluminum Cone RS225-8
pretty well covered in many builds here.
Cast frame, Aluminum 28 Hz Fs
Sensitivity drops of course to go so low
with low distortion.

About 90 dB ish using the PS-220 and RST28A tweeter on 4th order

It is one of the variables to get the response the shape the designer is targeting. @Scottmoose

I just did the drawings.

Something i meant to say earlier.

A sealed box has one degree of freedom — volume

A vented box has 2 degrees of freedom — box size, box tuning frequency

A TL/quarter wave design has many more degrees of freedom. I doubt i can name them all, but… 1/ axial length, 2/ box volume, 3/ influience of the shape of the pipe on the fundemental and its harmonics, 4/ drive offset, 5/ terminus offset, 6/ terminus resitriction, 7/ nature of the damping
