Hi i already have the tangband w3-881sjf but want to buy the tangband w3-2141. Does anyone know wich sound better.
Thanks
Thanks
The W3-2141 has really low non-linear distortion, but the frequency response is a bit of a dogs breakfast. Above 1kHz the response jumps up and down about 5-10dB -> Timothy Feleppa's Pages: Speaker Measurements - Midrange/Fullrange Speakers 4" and smaller . Unless you have a DSP/EQ to play with, the W3-1364 might be easier to live with, or the W3-1878 if budget allows. I haven't tried the W3-881SJF but it looks well behaved in the frequency response, however, with a simpler motor (higher non-linear distortion probably).

Hj thanks for the info and the link. I want to try the w3-1878 but i read a lot of bad comments about it in this forum. But in the link you gave me they are highly recommend.

Excellent work on that chart and all the measurements you did. The 1878 is really impressive, seems to have about 3 db built in baffle step as well.
