HI guys, has anyone got some experiences with this speaker as a Full Range one ? With regards to its high fidelity and low/high frequency reproduction ?
I would like to know your opinion about the speaker, if u're using it for wideband purposes.
Does it represent the upper high frequency ranges well ? good definition ??
What about the low end ?
Do you find it really worth the cash ?

Yes, it has a Hot high end, perfect for Cornu spiral. 🙂
It's a nice looking driver but I think for half the price you should go with the 4 inch titanium w4 1337sdif.

Nice arrays! You are gonna fill them with the 4 in titanium drivers? I think many of us can only wish we had the ability to chase our hifi diy dreams like you do. 🙂

Sprial Cornu is a good idea.
Unfortunately, Speaker TB W3-1878 I would not recommend.

I do not ever listen to any speaker in the case (Cornu). Technical looks good, the idea is good too. If the casing is counted well, each speaker should sound well.
I have several speakers TB in work (W3-1878 too) - I do not recommend.
Please try some other speakers.

This model has a lot of distortion of phase and frequency band of 1, 2 kHz to 15kHz. How do I find my measurements somewhere to show you.

I use W3 1285SG which i believe have been replaced by W3 1285SP. Its a neo magnet underhung design, and claimed THD is low. I have not seen measures for either mine or your TBs. If the motor system is similar id hope that THD wasnt awful. Id recommend my TBs, but I havent compared specs and sound quality so I have no idea if theyre comparable in quality.
What's strange to me is the open slits in the phase plug. I would think that would cause phase issues in the higher FR
The W3 1285SG that I have dont have those slits, id agree that it would make a difference to somthing, whether it would be a bad thing, im not sure of their effect.
