Hi, Instead of one PNP and one NPN like in first photo , what if I only use a power PNP Darlington?.
Can I do this modification, would it work " just as good " ?.


PS: My "lab power supply " with lm2596 died, and why not use LM317 ?.

You want to replace a Sziklai for a Darlington... different league, hence no succes.
No shortcut for replacing 22, 5k & 500 ohm res'. Or sort it out: math & calc's.
