Hi!
I just finished my Tad TM1201h Fish Horns.
Hyperbolic Design, 160Hz/18db to 1000Hz/12db

It works.

Hi Kleen,
Beautiful low-mid horns! Can you tell me about the design?
Is the cutoff 160 Hz? Or does it reach 160 Hz - 3dB ?
Best
Kris
The first design was calculated from conception des enceintes HI-FI, Sono, Home cinéma et Car Audio, ampli filtrage actif passif haut parleur
Search TAD TM1201H parameters, horn calculation, 45cm depth, 150hz cut, hyperbolic 707 design, data increment 1cm.
After I recomputed & morphed the original shape layer by layer to fit closer to the output of the speaker.
On the first Jpeg left bottom you can watch the layers.
The sound curve is like a little bell -8db 100hz / -3db160hz / 0db 400hz / -3db1000hz / -8db 1500hz & something to....14000hz! the back chamber is also important, I made the first measures free air back & the curve was very different, up it was 700hz only.
Now back chamber it is 20 liters, it could be less in the future & I plan to work on phase plugs also. The material of the rear chamber is...a flower pot, I found the idea on an old 3 ways Mitsubishi Diatone 901 from the 85's, the medium rear chamber was a terracotta flower pot, with the hole for the speaker cable!
