Apparently, it’s “coming soon”. Does anyone know when? Having to use a mouse and laptop connected to a TV was already very tired when Tidal added partial remote control capability a few months ago.
I am sick of waiting, and of the annoyance of a sub par user interface when compared to Spotify. Yes, Tidal sounds better, but soon Spotify will have a HiFi version similar to Tidal’s. At that point, why would anyone bother with Tidal if it still doesn’t have the same functionality? The clock is ticking....
Any news that anyone might have would be much appreciated.

The only thing you ‘have to’ use a pc for tidal is to be able to decode MQA, other than that all the ‘master’ quality music is accessible with phone/tablet over wi-fi network, no computer needed......been doing it for years.

I want to be able to use my phone to control a PC feeding a DAC and then my system. The DAC in my phone isn’t as good as my separate DAC, and I would have to run a wire to the phone that connects to my system.
Ahhh I see, you have no way to stream over wifi.......maybe a raspberry pi ?
They have a decent dac and isn’t too expensive.

Chromecast Audio has optical out that can feed your DAC ditectly if it has a free optical in. Unfortunately Tidal has some issues with iPhone app.
I use Unified Remote to control things on my PC with a tablet. Works OK. You can even extend the PC screen on to your tablet and control the desktop that way. Kind of neat.
You need to load the software on both PC and tablet/phone. Look here,
