TA2024 supply voltage vs distortion

Long story short,

Anybody seen or made distortion measurements to TA2024 with different supply voltages?

Asking because there seems to be really surprising differences in observed sound quality as voltage drops.

( Bought accidentally wrong size batteries a couple of weeks ago.
As I do not need D cell batteries I decided that could as well use them as ps for a TA2024, just for fun.

After a couple of days the sound altered dramatically. Must be voltage dropping, now it measures 10.2 volts or so.
The difference is so remarkable that I bougth another set of "wrong size🙂" D batteries to double check, and yes, the fresh set compeletely sucks compared to used.

Could be really interesting to know excatly which kind of change is going on.
Does internal resistance on battery set changes, or is it just ps voltage? Unfortunatley I do not have easy acces to needed equipment.

LiFePo's could be intersting to try too)

Isn't TA2024 supposed to run only at 12V
...

8.5-13.2v, states datasheet.

The chip also seems to have fault detection for too low supply voltage.

Alkaline batteries have high internal resistance

Yes they do, and make that eight-fold. As I said, this was definitively just for fun, I dont have any use for D cell batteries.

Does internal resistance changes too as battery depletes, or ist it just voltage?

ok, should have later today time to test with seven fresh batteries, 10.5.

😀
